Just saw that Joan Cusack is going to play Julia Child on HBO Max! I do wish that HBO would allow access without requiring a (dread) cable subscription, but I guess I can wait till it gets to Netflix, or try to find it Elsewhere
Did you see that the sister had commented on the yoga question? For me, the lack of underwear with loose fitting shorts changes the situation from “your house your yoga” to yoga sure but please just cover your lady bits!
I am NOT caught up on Succession so am treading these waters with care... but I have managed to convince all my friends to watch it with the "It's King Lear meets 2003 Arrested Development" descriptor; highly recommend. (I did not need that description; I was all in at "Jeremy Strong" which means I have suffered greatly this whole time.)
Today my dad figured out that I go by a chosen name rather than my birth name (at my JOB, oh my GOD, dad I'm WORKING) and I'm extremely emotionally fragile about it. He was lovely and said all the right things (and meant them!), but I didn't expect to have that conversation behind the register. Yay, but also yikes, I need chocolate and pizza now :(
Though that did lead to me sort of coming out to a coworker, and she said I don't at all fit with my birth name but do feel like a Charlie, which was just cute and made me feel nice.
Now I sort of feel like a failure child for not IDing with my given name or the one my mom would have chosen, but I'm too tired to deal with that now, so. Food and blankets it is.
ANYWAY, that to say thanks for the love, it's extra appreciated right now.

I am completely obsessed with Succession, and in love with every single character, I don't know if this is healthy but it is my truth. I'm also extremely tempted to get the Shiv Roy haircut now.
Thanks for the love, Nicole. Needed that today. I got a raise yesterday that is richly deserved but all I can focus on is the mistakes and dumb things I’ve done this year, and a friend who went into super early labor (22 weeks) and made the decision to not intervene has a piece today on CNN aimed at the “Born Alive” nonsense. It is brave but also the attacks are nauseating and I am just tired. ❤️
