Today, I'm not sad at all! Sunrise, sunset. Well, still no sunrise until April, but I slammed a fistful of gummy Vitamin D and built an elaborate Paw Patrol tower for my delighted son, things are better now.

Oh I’m gonna put this on stat. And I didn’t know he and Sade got married!! She’s the best and was a regular on early episodes of Friends Like Us, for my pod enthusiasts.

I adore him. We saw him on the Great Depresh tour and sat front row center. At the end, he came straight to me to shake hands (and continued down the row) and it was the biggest, warmest handshake ever. With eye contact! He's the best.

I LOVED this special. I was just coming out of my own first Great Depresh when this special aired, and I've watched it several times since. I was medium-nervous to bring it up to my dad, who is bipolar and is a licensed therapist - but he also admitted he had watched it several times. I still tear up at the penultimate joke and laugh out loud at the last one.

I also told my therapist to watch it and now we often repeat lines from it back and forth to each other: "that's not fair: I watched all of Breaking Bad." etc etc

Thank you for reminding me of the other stand-up specials! I am going to look for them now.

(also thank you to all the Nicole Knows readers who were SO NICE when I asked for help with my depresh over the summer in an open thread. I needed it and I took many of your suggestions to heart, including many great Netflix recommendations. a small and lovely blessing of 2019.)

SAD is no joke!! When I lived in Salt Lake, I'd leave for work in the dark, park in an underground garage and go up to my windowless office, then drive home in the dark. I literally only saw the sun on weekends in the winter. You should reschedule your Miami trip. You need the sunshine!

PSA! Derry Girls Great British Bake Off Special is on British TV tonight. Not sure when it will be available over there.

Not on topic, but I'm curious if Nicole has been following the RWA debacle? I'm just an adjacent observer (library worker, but focus on nonfiction)

I should watch more Gary Gulman. The one routine of his I've seen, I loved- about the documentary of the men and one woman who came up with the postal abbreviations for all 50 states.

Oh, the SAD is not fun. Two of my friends have it and it kicks in during the winter even in California... They both have one of those lamp things that you sit by so you can pretend you're a lizard and combat the effects of less sun.
