I saw Paul Simon at the Hollywood Bowl with my brothers last year. Our late mother was a huge Paul Simon fan and literally used to sing American Tune to me as a lullaby.
About halfway through the show, he played The Obvious Child and when it ended someone shouted “play it again!”
Even though he and everyone else on stage was halfway through changing instruments for the next song, he made them all go back and play it again. Everyone seemed to be waiting for him to call it part way though but he played the whole song a second time.
I like that horror newsletter a lot! I really like Lauren Beukes' books. They are harrowing, but SO GOOD.
